Mondaze

My good friend Skip asked me a few months ago if I wanted to see Morrissey at Bowery Ballroom a couple months ago. I was like WAIT WHAT HOW? and then YES!

And finally, Saturday, the night where I was finally able to see Morrissey in the flesh in the smallest venue he could play in New York City, came. It came and I came hard. He opened the show with "This Charming Man," which makes me think of my dear friend Pat "I would go out tonight, but I haven't got a stitch to wear." Most of the songs he played were from his new album, or I just didn't know them, but it didn't matter. The songs are still ill (oh you like how I did that) and they fucking rocked. And Morrissey, OH MORRISSEY, you do it to us all, even though you've aged ever so slightly.

A clip from the show:

I was really happy to hear and see "How Soon is Now." Fuck emo, Morrissey FO LIFE.

The rest of the weekend, needless to say, was awesome. It involved Soba Ya, beer, homemade croque madames (yes I'm the master), and Eastbound and Down. Can't wait to see you, 'til next time weekend.
