Friends, how many of us have them?

I'm one of those people that's way too hard on myself. When it comes to friends and friendships, I always feel like I fail, especially lately. Then, I saw that my good friend Mr. Zach Hates made this, and it made me so happy, it almost brought a tear to my eye.


Friends are better than: milkshakes and French fries, David Lynch movie marathons, the Mets winning, huge sales at Theory.

Zaha Hadid, one of my favorite architects, designed the container for Chanel Mobile Art, which has recently re-located to New York! Mr. Lagerfield + friends are paying homage to the quintessential quilted Chanel bag, you know, the one that dozens of people sport throughout the Manhattan grid (real and fake, alike).

Reunion Show

If I could organize a reunion show I would pick a double headliner with At the Drive-In/Fugazi. The opener would be Q and Not U.

IN THIS ORDER:



It is imperative that I see the 'headliners' perform live before my time is up. I've essentially come to terms with the fact that I'll never see ATD-I live, a once painful realization, being that it's been at least eight years since their last album. Along with the fact that every 'side project' they've done interests me very little.

But let's talk about Fugazi. FUGAZI. My favorite fucking band of all fucking time. All members are still on amicable terms and are just pursuing other ventures, such as making babies and things of that nature. All are still involved in music and even collaborate with one another. I'm waiting for the day that they get back together, and in my heart of hearts I feel like it is bound to happen.

When it does, rest assured I will be there.

I keep trying to write about how sensitively directed and incredible this movie is, but I'm coming up short. Instead I of trying to find words, let me suggest that you watch this movie as soon as possible.

Fire Walk With Me

We are amidst fall, my favorite season. Good for Netflix, cooking elaborate dinners and breaking out all of my favorite autumn jackets.



I happen to love David Lynch movies and just added the entire Twin Peaks television series to my Netflix queue.
